Hi, I am Melissa Bostaph.

I graduated Cum Laude from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Illustration and minor in Drawing. During my schooling not only did I hone my skills as a fine artist, but I also learned many techniques which have greatly improved my photography as well. Through the use of proper composition, lighting, color theory, and even the technologies available, I am growing more confident every day with my photographic passions.

The approach I take with photography is much the same as my approach to my artwork and life in general. I am laid back and casual. If there's one thing I've learned in life it is to relax and try not to take things too seriously.

When it comes to portraiture and more formal events, I have a certain knack for reading people and being able to build quick bonds with my subjects. This trait aides in my ability to capture the most genuine, natural moments with very little stiffness that can often ruin a photograph.

It is my ultimate goal to tell my story through my artwork and photography. Part of my story as a photographer is to help others express themselves or share in their special life events. It is always my honor when people choose me to help them tell their stories.
